Prosecutor Min Tae Yeon (Yun Jung Hoon) is bitten by somebody and becomes a Vampire. Tae Yeon rejects the life of a vampire and he survives by drinking the blood of dead people and still lives as a righteous prosecutor. Tae Yeon also uses his new founded abilities as a Vampire to prosecute powerful persons normally thought above the law. A mysterious case then occurs and the evidence points to a Vampire as the perpetrator. Tae Yeon now knows that he is not the only Vampire. He also ponders why he became a Vampire and what truths may lie behind their motives.

The drama is not only about her searching for her dad but also about the cultural differences between her and her husband's family. There is bad blood between the two families, Kim and Kang. The rivalry is even more fueled since Ji Young is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, Jun Woo, even though she is married to Young Min. Kang Sae Mi is Jun Woo's sister and Kim Young Soo is Young Min's younger brother. They want to get married but both families oppose their marriage which leads to the two young lovers living together and expecting a baby out of wedlock. Kang Won Mi is the thoughtless, old maid elder sister of Jun Woo.

Kim Kyung Sook (Park Sol-mi), Kyung Ku (Kim Ji-hoon) and Kyung Min (Ji Hyun-woo)'s father who was a widowed farmer married Keum Shil's mother when Keum Shil was six. The marriage was not a happy one and Keum Shil's mother continued her affair with Park Byung Sam (Lee Duk-hwa) a rich landlord in the village who was running for a seat in the Parliament. Her body was discovered in the river after the election and Kyung Sook's father was wrongly accused of being the killer. He was tortured by the police into admission and later died in custody before trial. Park Byung Sam, who was in actual fact Keum Shil's real father ordered his brother-in-law to adopt Keum Shil and gave him a job at the Intelligence Office in Seoul. Kyung Sook had also moved to Seoul and worked hard to bring up her brothers. She vowed that she would clear her father's name and find the real killer. Park Byung Sam remained her no. 1 suspect even though she was in love with his son, Park Jong Kyu (Jung Chan). It turned out that he wasn't the one but who was and why??
